SUIT of the MOON
is a full length synthwave album, based on the suit of cups in tarot. It journeys through love, loss, feeling, healing and dreaming. When you close your eyes you'll get swept into a high-voltage neon pipeline of unique sounds, and an aural experience you'll never want to end.

AI has taken over
the synthwave market, and is perforating into other genres as well. It's a shame, and you can't search for good synthwave without having to sift through (literally) THOUSANDS of AI generated tracks. My aim is to provide a solid chunk of that synthwave vibe, with a human touch that only real people can create.
I've spent years learning how to craft music from the ground up, and I think AI is a shortcut that sucks the soul and purpose out of it.
If you're tired of the AI garbage, keep an eye out for this project as I work through it. I don't have a set release date yet, but I'll be posting regular updates on this page and on my socials (insta, substack).
Update 1 - 1/10/26
Track I - Blossom is done! I have been working on some cool visual projects to go along with the album and I've decided a more retro, low-res vibe fits it best.

Track II - Union will be a syncopated, catchy and driven track, with two melodies interwoven throughout.
Track IV - Apathy will be aggressive, slow, and cinematic. Picture a sky full of alien pyramids with laser beams, emitting sonic booms from within, shaking a rocky planet's surface. Yeah... it's gonna be sick.
Visual Design is coming along nicely. I found some neat tricks to consistently create trippy kaleidoscopes. I also got cooking on a retro-fuzz music video... secrets secrets.

Preview 1 - 1/13/26
This is a preview of Track I - Blossom. Just a short snippet that shows proof of concept and also a little bit of the vibe. It's high energy and carries you along with plucked bass and heavy arpeggios.
Blossom was also a proof of ability for myself haha. I wanted to be really confident in this idea so I sat down and just started writing. It came together effortlessly and I had a blast doing it. I think it was the first time that I wrote something and didn't feel bogged down by details and editing. Just puuuure creativity. Let's go!!!!

Update 2 - 1/19/26
Track II - Union is halfway done! There are so many syncopated rhythms and melodies layered into this flowy track. A driving garage-band style bassline pushes everything forward. It's a sort of pop-fusion synthwave that I actually really like haha.

Track III - Community will have a very positive major melody with 7's and 9's. If you know you know ;) ... all the feels.

Update on track IV vibe: it'll definitely be a large project. It may have to be finished after a few others so I don't get stuck with writers block.
Visual Design and other thoughts: So far I'm loving everything SUIT of the MOON related. I wanted to drive home a 90s/00s theme for the foundation of the tracks so I opted for a 'bass player' that will be present in every track that should sound like it's in a garage with classic cabinet distortion and room verb (of course it's just a custom synth that I play but it's the THOUGHT THAT COUNTS lmao). I also have a multiband fx on my drums to give a bitcrushed retro depth to them without completely destroying their character.

Update 3 - 1/26/26
Track II - Union is finished! Yippee!! Its flowy, upbeat, syncopated and ready to go. The pop-fusion synthwave is really unique and catchy and I LOVE the melodies that are interlaced here. Moving on to the next... Community.

Track III - Community is going to be fun. I'm going through different chord expressions currently to get a very positive but emotional feel. I want it to be uplifting, but also contemplative while still staying true to a synth vibe.
Track IV - Apathy is in the works. I'm mostly working on sound design and atmosphere. The sounds I'm using require some surgical EQing and modulation to mix them together well. Just gotta have patience and determination to figure this one out.
Visual Design and other thoughts: The theme here is as my partner described it: a math textbook. There are bright blocky colors, duotone objects, and colorful abstract backgrounds. It's been slow moving, but piece by piece I'll get it done. The video will be centered around Track II: Union.
