A/Q Updates

Hello everyone :)
I figured I'd give an update on things since I've been sporadic this year. It has been SO busy! While working on Suit of the Moon, I've also been creating digital art, crafting the website, learning about promotion/social media (ugh, ew), getting commissions for AQ character design, and learning video editing all while working 40 hours a week! Quite the grind I'd say.
Anyway, Suit of the Moon is halfway done. I intend on having this album done in October, however with my time getting dumped into other tasks I feel like this may be a stretch. I know that one album a year is seen as the bare minimum for a lot of artists but I want to provide so much more than just music. I really want this experience to be multi-faceted and handmade, with love, from the ground up.
Speaking of fun: I made a scavenger hunt for an AQ-themed high-res wallpaper on the website. You'll find these everywhere! Each one has a unique color scheme, where some are more alike and others are chromatic and harder to find. There are linked images, text and objects throughout the website that may also take you to a riddle. If you find a riddle, do some searching and thinking to determine the answer and then change the last part of the url to the solution. (eg. absolutequantum.net/answerhere) Once you find a wallpaper, it's yours! Just right click and save the image to your pc. It took me a long time to set this up so have fun :)
The wallpapers themselves are an interesting talking point. With digital art being a focus of mine, I wanted to give you a piece of the vibes to take home. The wallpapers seemed like the perfect way to do this! I'm still ironing out how to make them available to you on the website... file management is difficult with my current website setup but we'll figure it out eventually!
"AQ, did you mention something about a character design?" Why yes I did, honored visitor. I'm working with an artist to get a character design for Absolute Quantum, as I'd like to expand the story arc and lore for the music and art. I mention it on the "about" page, but AQ is me, and also a character in my head. There are so many reasons why I want to bring this character to life, but the main one is they are cool as hell! The goal is to have a "face" for my art that really encompasses the energy of the whole project. It also helps me compartmentalize, so rather than having just a mental image of a character I can actually fully send on lore with a tangible direction. Anyway, the idea here gets very meta and I don't have the words to describe it. It'll be cool though I promise, trust the process and bear with me haha.
As far as social media... I hate it. It's very convenient but I've made it clear here that I despise corporations, especially tech corporations that don't care about their users. I have been posting stories on Instagram with my digital art and the occasional carousel or reel, but I really want the website to be where everyone comes to hang out. After all, EVERYTHING is here! It's also mine. Something I can't say about Instagram. >:( Long story short, I will be making a push to get more followers as time goes on but I'm taking my time with it. There's no rush against the clock, no follower counts, no likes, shares, etc. here. Just creativity, compassion and freedom. On that note, if you've found me/this website, tell your friends. Well, I think that about wraps this update up. I will plan on keeping you posted here. I won't give it a schedule because I've learned through trial and error this year that schedules are notoriously difficult to keep, however check back now and then to see what's up.
